Quang Nam Province controls bird flu
Quang Nam Province has effectively controlled the recent outbreak of the bird flu and blue ear disease among pigs, according to Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Deputy Chairman of the province's People's Committee.
The local government lifted bans on poultry breeding and farming as well as the slaughtering, transporting and trading of poultry and cattle products throughout the province.
Thousands of poultry and over 400 pigs were killed in the bird flu and blue ear outbreaks, which hit five villages in Dai Loc District in Quang Nam Province last month.
