What should be done if the birds or the poultry in the household or backyard farms die suddenly?
The concerned authorities should immediately be informed, so that they can carry out investigations. The remains of the birds should not be touched with bare hands. The carcasses of the birds should be appropriately disposed. They should be burnt or buried. The environment in which the infected birds were kept should be cleaned and disinfected.
