What are the symptoms of avian influenza in birds and poultry?
The symptoms of Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza (LPAI) are generally mild and include ruffled feathers or reduced egg production.
The symptoms of High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) are generally more severe and include loss of appetite, diarrhoea, depression, sudden drop in egg production or production of soft shelled eggs or production of shell less eggs, haemorrhage on the hock, and swelling and congestion of the comb.
