UNV in Vietnam is looking for an experienced and dynamic Vietnamese citizen for the following position:

1. UNV Assignment title : Editor/ Communication Specialist
2. Type of Assignment: National UNV Volunteer
3. Project Title: Strengthening Capacity of Volunteerism for Development in Vietnam (VDVN)
4. Duration: 10 months
5. Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
6. Expected Starting date: February 2012

2nd National Conference on V4PD

(UNV Vietnam) - IYV+10 in Vietnam was closed successfully with the 2nd National Conference on Volunteerism for Peace and Development, which was held on the International Volunteer Day (5/12) in Hanoi. 

The award ceremony of the Most Outstanding Volunteers and VIOs, together with the launch of the State of the World's Volunteerism Report were the main focus of the morning session. Whereas, in the afternoon, more than 200 particpants joined in a very fruitful discussion about the volunteerism related issues in Vietnam such as whether or not there should be an agency to monitor and facilitate all volunteering activities in Vietnam, the recommendations for volunteer policy as well as ways that volunteers can contribute to the achievements of the MDGs.
