Vietnam Implements MDGs

At the Second World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments, Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An suggested the establishment of the Parliamentary Partnership for Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

This initiative follows systematic efforts of Vietnam in recent years. It is also a clear expression of the engagement of the Vietnamese parliament in the MDGs, which has been welcomed and supported by the international community, including UNDP and other donors.
