|Name:||The global conversation begins - Emerging views for a new development agenda|
Since August 2012 the United Nations system has facilitated an unprecedented series of consultations with people the world over to seek their views on a new development agenda to build on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
So far over 200,000 people have been able to contribute to this global conversation; 83 national dialogues are under way in all continents and across a range of countries.
In Viet Nam 1300 people were consulted. Processes have been designed to engage with groups and communities who would not normally have access to these discussions, those who are excluded and marginalized, and with young people who will assume responsibility for the future and the next development agenda. Some of the preliminary findings are included in this report.
More info on the national consultations in Viet Nam, can be found here.
