This publication comprises the most important 56 indicators of Viet Nam's 2009 Housing and Population Census, including completed results and expanded sample results (for those items not included in the questionnaire). It is noted that in this pubilcation the expanded sample results have been resised in comparison with the "Expanded sample results" released in December 2009, and thus they have replaced with the respective information in this publication.

To help users get the device accessing to the results, as well as the micro data of the Census, the General Statistics Office has developed an electronic product in the form of CD-ROM “Data and the results of the Population and Housing Census on 1 April, 2009”.

This product includes 4 CDs as follows:
1. CD-ROM 01 disc (CD01): Micro data and the national sample survey’s results;
2. CD-ROM 02 disc (CD02): Micro data and the sample survey’s results of a
province or a centrally governed city (afterwards called as province);
3. CD-ROM 03 disc (CD03): Micro data and the completed results of a province;
4. CD-ROM 04 disc (CD04): The national completed results.

This monograph titled “Sex Ratio at Birth in Viet Nam: New Evidence on Patterns, Trends and Differentials” uses the 15% sample data of the 2009 census and provides the most comprehensive and updated information to readers on the current trends of the SRB in Viet Nam. It also provides relevant information on the geographic and socio-economic characteristics of the SRB phenomenon in the country, and attempts to provide scenarios of possible future evolution of this indicator and the impact it may have on society.

The monograph “Migration and Urbanization in Vietnam: Patterns, Trends and Differentials” was developed using the data of the 15% sample survey which was included in the 2009 Census in order to provide readers with the most up-do-date information about Vietnam’s migration and urbanization situation.

The monograph “Age-sex structure and marital status of the population in Viet Nam” was developed using the data of the 15% sample survey which was included in the VNPHC 2009 in order to provide the readers with the most up-do-date information about Viet Nam’s age-sex structure and marital status.
