The Bamboo Weavers of Ha TinhTo celebrate World Food Day, Australian footballer Kathryn Gill recently visited FAO - Telefood projects in Hai Tien village, in Hue province, highlighting women's efforts to reduce hunger in their own communities. The Telefood projects are funded by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as part of their Asian Football against Hunger Campaign. At the end of the visit, Gill organised fun beach football activities for 60 village children. The visit was part of the efforts between the AFC and FAO to fight hunger which affects one billion people in the world, including 578 million people in Asia.
