Ha Noi, 5 December – Mr Anand Grover, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, today concluded his country visit to Viet Nam. The objective of the mission was to understand how Viet Nam has implemented and endeavours to implement the right to health. The focus of the mission was on three major issues: health systems and financing, access to medicines, and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, focusing on vulnerable groups. Mr Grover presented his preliminary observations at a press briefing this afternoon. These observations will be explored in more detail in the final report to be presented to the Human Rights Council in June 2012.
