In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Salah Ahmed Sarhan, also emphasized the importance of UN reform and the Delivering as One Initiative. He mentioned that the financial contribution to the Green One UN House is a clear sign of the strengthened cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the UN. The ambassador added that the contribution made today is merely a catalyst and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue its overall support to the UN in Viet Nam.
The signing ceremony was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Green One UN House project.
According to the current timeline, UN agencies will be moving into the Green One UN House in the first quarter of 2013.
